Mexico City
Mariana was born in Mexico City and is currently majoring on Communications. She loves television, singing, dancing and laughing. Her dream is to never stop believing that one day her dreams and wishes will come true.
Reason for being here:
First off, I came here to fulfill my 480 hours of social service that my university requires, but the main reason is that ever since I was a little girl I wanted to be a marine biologist. I decided on communications cause I like it a lot too, but I knew someday I would do something about my marine biologist dream. When I heard that I could come to CEA and join the Turtle Program I immediately volunteered. Coming here has been a great learning experience for me. I've met wonderful people from all over the world and that has been exciting. Besides, the feeling you get when you know that all your efforts are really helping an endangered specie is indiscribable. I would definitely volunteer again.
She is helping CEA with the Turtle Talk every day, she is in charge of the tourists that visit the camp and does field work. She helps out at the Hekab Be library on her spare time and is also the creator of this blog.
