Your Own Experience

My experience at CEA was unique. Before going to the turtle walk, two of the volunteers gave us an informative talk where I learned a lot about turtles. They explained to us which turtles live in Akumal, how to take care of them, their reproductive cycle, etc. After that, I felt totally prepared to go to the beach and see them in person. So, we took off and started walking. I was very fortunate that night because I got to see a Loggerhead turtle, a Green Turtle, and 5 newborn turles which we got to say goodbye as they headed to the sea. Also, all the staff at CEA was very nice and attentive.

As a conclusion I can say that CEA is doing a wonderful and important job in Akumal. They put their hearts in what they do and most important, they make an effort to teach the turists how to protect the turtles and their environment.
